On 28 April 2024, the second in-person Study Contributor (Site) Investigator meeting took place as a satellite meeting during the European Congress of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (ECCMID) in Barcelona, Spain.
Team members from the following current Spanish and Italian Study Contributors attended the meeting: Valencia Hospital Network for the Study of Infectious Diseases (VAHNSI), Hospital Universitario Germans Trias i Pujol, Hospital Universitario Vall d’Hebron and Centro Interuniversitario per la Ricerca sull’Influenza e le altre Infezioni Trasmissibili (CIRI-IT). In addition, representatives from new Study Contributors in set-up in Spain and the United Kingdom were present for the first time. Members from the Pharmaceutical Company Partners were also invited to join the meeting, listen to the presentations and network with the Study Contributors.
The id.DRIVE Co-Coordination team presented the updates of the ongoing studies, the preparation for the upcoming ones with expansion to several viral respiratory pathogens, and the general way of working.
There was an opportunity to discuss with the Study Contributors the challenges encountered or foreseen, solve questions and share experiences from daily work with the studies.
The meeting included a networking lunch where the Site Investigators could meet and network with the teams from other hospitals, the Co-Coordination and Study Operations team and with the Pharmaceutical Company Partners.
